On 28^th –29^th May 2026, the University held its annual International Research Conference, in collaboration with Kisii University, bringing together scholars, researchers, policymakers, and thought leaders from across Africa and beyond. Themed “Beyond 2030: Re-imagining Sustainable Development and Africa’s Future,” the hybrid event explored critical issues including innovation, governance, human development, climate resilience, and global partnerships.

Graced by Amb. Prof. Peter Ngure, Kenya’s ambassador – UNESCO, Paris, France and HRM Dr. Clyde Rivers who presented his paper on Civility Leadership Paradign, the conference reaffirmed the University’s commitment to influence policy and practice in Africa and beyond
