PAC University became even more vibrant on Friday 5th June 2026, as community members, students, and government officials converged together for the World Environment Day 2026 Green Walk, organized by Kenya Extended Producer Responsibility Organization (KEPRO), in partnership with the Nairobi City County Government.
County officials officially flagged off participants at Nairobi CBD before they boarded buses to PAC University — the designated start point of the 5KM walk, where a symbolic tree-planting ceremony that underscored the city’s commitment to a greener future took place before the participants walk to Kingdom Seekers Fellowship where the official launch of a Community Dry Waste Collection Point in Kasarani.
Prof. Chemorion, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at PAC University, led the tree planting exercise alongside the County Executive – Ms. Maureen Njeri, the County Chief Officer for Environment, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of KEPRO, together with representatives from national government, the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA), Community Based Organizations (CBO’s), they planted trees as a living testament to the theme of and a powerful symbol of unity, collaboration, and determination to safeguard the planet.
