On Wednesday, May 15, the Dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences and Director of the PAC Institute, Prof. Margaret Mwenje, delivered a keynote address at the UN International Day of Families event.

She highlighted various aspects of family well-being, including its characteristics, how it is affected by climate change, and how families can be supported during climate change-related crises.

The Chief Guest was H.E. Rachel Ruto, First Lady of the Republic of Kenya.

The International Day of Families is observed on May 15 every year.
