On Friday, May 17, the School of Humanities and Social Sciences organized a community outreach program where staff and students visited flood victims at Mathare Vocational Technical College, where 300 families are sheltered.

Besides donating food, clothing, diapers, and other necessities, they had an opportunity to share God’s word with them, and 21 people gave their lives to Christ. In addition, they took families through debriefing sessions and identified individuals who needed further psychosocial support.

The team was led by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dionysious Kihika Kiambi.
