The alumni troop back home

On Tuesday, October 11, the alumni joined the rest of the University community at the Thika Road Campus, where they led the Chapel Service to kick off the four-day Alumni Homecoming Festival. During the service, Ms. Judith Githae-Miring’u, Chairperson of the Alumni Association, symbolically led the rest of the members in a match that symbolized the beginning of their journey back to their alma mater. During the procession, the alumni carried flags from various countries representing the different nationalities of students who have graduated from the University.

Moreover, the event marked the formal reunion of alumni who came to the University while it was still a College (Pan Africa Christian College: 1978-2007) and those who came after it was chartered ( Pan Africa Christian University-2008). The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Margaret J. Muthwii, received the alumni and encouraged them to maintain close ties with their alma mater for mutual benefit.

The day’s sermon was delivered by Bishop Kepha Omae, an alumnus and PhD-Organizational Leadership candidate of the University.
