The Communication Department organised the first University Media Day, which took place from November 19 to 20 at the Thika Road Campus.

The first day started on a great note, with a team from Ajira Digital, led by Ms. Magdalene Thuo, providing insights and training to the students on content creation and monetization.

On the second day, students had an amazing time of inspiration and learning about media, thanks to various media personalities who graced the event.

They included Anthony Ndiema (Ex-Standard Group), Lynace Mwashigadi (Ex-BBC), Roncliff Odit (BBC), Lennox Sengre (TV47), Dickens Luvanda (Hope Media), and Michael Migwi (KBC).

According to the Department’s Head, Mr. Isaac Oyuga, the event helped the students practically connect with industry, highlighting the need for such meaningful engagements.
