On Friday, February 23, 2024, the University held a colourful Installation Ceremony for the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dionysious Kihika Kiambi. The ceremony, which took place at the Thika Road campus, was attended by hundreds of guests who had been invited to witness the historic milestone.

The moment of the day was the installation session, during which Prof. Kiambi received instruments of power from the immediate former VC, Prof. Margaret Muthwii, the Chancellor, Bishop Calisto Odede, and members of the Board of Trustees and Governing Council. The instruments included the Mace, Charter, Seal, Logo, and Bible. He was also dressed in a new ceremonial gown, signifying his newly acquired status as the overall leader of the University.

The Chief Guest was Rev. Dr. David Oginde, Chair of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) of Kenya, and an alumnus of the University.

Others in attendance included Prof. Kiambi’s family, alumni, VCs from private universities, CITAM leaders, and Bishops from various Churches, among others.

Prof. Kiambi becomes the University’s fourth Vice Chancellor.
