Communication student gets appointed to the ICT Authority Board

Michael Njogu Wachira, a BA in Communication student at the University, was appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of the Information and Communication Technology Authority for a period of three years, with effect from March 10, 2023. His appointment was announced through Gazette Notice No. 2978 by Eliud Owalo, Cabinet Secretary for Information, Communications, and the Digital Economy.

Michael is a well-known media personality who currently works at Kameme FM, a popular Kikuyu radio station with nationwide coverage.

On hearing the news, Prof. Margaret Muthwii, Vice Chancellor, congratulated him saying, “We joyfully congratulate Michael Njogu Wachira, our BA in Communication student, on his well-deserved appointment as a member of the Board of Directors of the Information and Communication Technology Authority. We wish him and the entire Board the very best as they serve our beloved country.”
