Strengthening our Mentorship Culture

As we navigate this Academic Year, the University recognises mentorship as essential to nurturing students academically, personally, spiritually, and professionally throughout their transformative journey on campus.

A key step in this journey was a two-day mentorship training bringing together students, management, faculty, and administrative staff.

The training by M_OliveS Mentoring Consultants equipped participants with practical knowledge, skills, and tools to provide effective, intentional, supportive mentorship for students and peers.

Facilitated by Dr. Wairimu M. Kamore, the sessions explored practical approaches to meaningful and transformative mentorship, such as guiding, supporting, inspiring, and empowering students through biblical principles, offering foundations for nurturing growth through meaningful relationships.

The sessions highlighted mentorship as a shared responsibility requiring intentional engagement, active listening, accountability, consistent support, and commitment.

As we navigate this academic year, the University remains committed to strengthening structures that promote student development and purposeful leadership.

By creating safe spaces for students to learn, grow, discover their potential, and prepare for leadership that is thriving and purposeful, we look forward to witnessing greater impact within the society.
