Environmental Club Visits Karura Forest
On November 27, the Environmental Club enjoyed an educational and community service trip to Karura Forest in Nairobi.
They held a session with the Lead Environmental Education Team at the Karura Forest Auditorium at the Kenya Forest Environment Education Trust (KFEET) Centre. They also went on a forest walk and nature exploration, guided by the forest care team.
The students had planned to participate in tree seedling potting, but the exercise was postponed owing to mud at the nurseries.
They were accompanied by their Patron, Dr. Joshua Rutere.
On November 28, the Club members and their patron planted numerous trees at the Thika Road campus.
