Public Lecture: Re-imagining value based political leadership in Africa
On the afternoon of 18th March 2026, participants gathered with anticipation for a thought-provoking Public Lecture. The event was graced by distinguished leaders, faculty, students, staff, and members of the public, all eager to gain fresh insights on the theme: Re-imagining Value-Based Political Leadership in Africa.
The keynote address was delivered by Rev. Dr. Calisto Odede, Presiding Bishop of CITAM and Chancellor of our institution. With wisdom and conviction, he challenged the audience to embrace political leadership rooted in values and grounded in Christian principles. His message emphasized the urgent need for integrity, accountability, and moral courage in shaping Africa’s future.
The lecture was honored by the presence of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dionysious Kiambi, and Prof. Dephus Chemorion, the Deputy Vice Chancellor – Academic Affairs (DVC-AA). Their participation underscored the importance of fostering dialogue that bridges academia and faith within the society.
