On Thursday, October 13, 2022, Dr. Jane Chiroma, a faculty member in the Department of Leadership Studies, received an exciting formal notification from the high-profile peer-reviewed journal, PLOS ONE, that her paper had been accepted for publication. The news was received with utmost joy as PLOS ONE journal is internationally recognized for its thorough editorial evaluation and review process, which has earned it a reputation as one of the most authoritative journals.
“I’m pleased to inform you that your manuscript has been deemed suitable for publication in PLOS ONE. Congratulations! Your manuscript is now with our production department,” read part of the notification email from the PLOS ONE Editorial Office staff.
Titled “Nursing students’ experiences of service-learning at community and hospital pharmacies in Belize: Pedagogical implications for nursing pharmacology”, Dr. Chiroma co-authored the paper with Dr. Danladi Husaini from the University of Belize.
The paper is expected to be published and made available to the general public in the coming days.
