On Friday, 10th April 2026, we proudly celebrated the Youth Development Program (YDP) Graduation Ceremony, guided by the inspiring theme, “Shining Beyond Graduation,” drawn from Matthew 5:14: “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.” The event brought together parents, faculty, distinguished guests, and students in a vibrant atmosphere of pride and accomplishment.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Kiambi, opened the ceremony with a powerful address, reminding graduates that their achievement is by the grace of God. He acknowledged the challenges they have overcome and emphasized that education equips them not only for personal success but also to illuminate the world with integrity and purpose. The Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Chemorion, followed with words of encouragement, urging students to embrace resilience and lifelong learning as they step into new chapters of their lives.

The highlight of the day was the address by the Guest of Honor, Mrs. Vallerie Khamati, who challenged graduates to live out the theme by becoming true lights in their communities. She urged them to embody the discipline and focus. She encouraged the graduates to be relentless, consistent, and committed to excellence just like the ants. Her message emphasized the following:

Discipline and Consistency: Giving your best at all times with focus and determination.
Collaboration: Building genuine relationships, not just transactional networks, and recognizing that success is never achieved alone.
Generosity: Learning to both receive and give help with humility and openness.
Resilience: Remaining flexible and moving forward despite challenges or hurdles.

Her words resonated deeply, inspiring graduates to take up the mantle of leadership with courage, compassion, and vision.
