On 22nd May 2026, the university hosted the inaugural symposium of its newly established Center for Pentecostal and Charismatic Studies, the first of its kind in Kenya.

The symposium, themed “Pentecostalism in Africa and Beyond: Theology, Mission and Transformation,” brought together scholars, clergy, and students to reflect on the growing influence of Pentecostal and Charismatic churches. The keynote speaker Prof. Amos Young gave his insights and discussions highlighted the role of these movements in shaping theology and driving mission work.
