Mrs. Margaret Gatuiri Kamakia
Margaret Gatuiri Kamakia is a lecturer at Pan Africa Christian University. Prior to this, she worked at JKUAT, South Eastern Kenya University, Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, Kenya Women Finance Trust and British American Asset Managers Ltd.
Margaret is pursuing her PhD in Business Administration -Finance at the University of Nairobi. She also holds MBA – Finance, CPA (K) and is a member of ICPAK. Besides her PhD thesis, she is working on a funded research project involving Farm shop, Cape Breton University and the University of Nairobi.
Margaret has published papers on Financial Literacy and Financial Well-being of Public Sector Employees 2017 and Financial Innovations development and its Impact on Financial Performance of Listed Banks in Kenya 2017.
She has presented three papers in conferences: Financial Literacy and Financial Performance of Micro-Franchises - DBA-Africa Management Review International Conference 2017, Corporate governance in the banking sector - AIBUMA Conference UON 2013 and Financial Innovations Development and its Impact on Financial Performance of Listed Banks in Kenya - OSSREA Conference Kampala 2013.
Margaret has also attended academic, social and professional workshops some of which include: Supporting Entrepreneurship in Youth – UoN 2016, Leadership and Entrepreneurship – PAC University 2014, University Education Stakeholders - Riara University 2013 and several ICPAK and KASNEB workshops to date.
Outside the world of academia, Margaret Kamakia is great in Fashion & Interior Design. Margaret Kamakia is married and has been blessed with three beautiful children.
