Margaret Muthoka Kyai
Margaret Muthoka Kyai is a lecturer of Community Development at Pan Africa Christian University.
She has gained working experience with different Academic institutions namely Daystar University (Nairobi and Athi River campuses 2000-2010), St. Paul’s University (Nairobi Campus 2011-2014), Hekima Institute of Peace Studies and International Relations (A constituent College of the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (2013-2014) and Kenya Institute of Management (KIM Jan- Dec 2007), Foundation Institute of Africa (FIA 2007; 2009; 2010), as well as Consultancy work like MARVAN Consultancy (2010-13), BIDII Consultancy (1998-9) and Acacia Consultancy (2003-4) not forgetting the churches such as AIC Headquarters, Anglican Church (1994-96) and the Presbyterian Church of East Africa, St. Andrews.
She has been involved with academic Institutions in the position of a lecturer, training in-house tailored seminars, designing academic Curriculum (PACU &KISWCD), implementing curriculum (FIA and Pan Africa Christian University), managing and consulting on gender mainstreaming (Acacia, Marvan and BIDII Consultancy), project management (Hekima Institute) and communication for community development programs. She has a requisite expertise in Women and Gender empowerment, Capacity Building, Strategic management, Training, Monitoring and evaluation, Proposal/Report writing and oral presentation.
Margaret is a graduate of Development and Culture MTh (Edinburgh University) and also in Theology –BTh (Scott Theological University, Machakos) and registered to pursue MBA Strategic Management and Human Resource (Daystar University).
She has worked with leading academic institutions, NGO’s, Consultancies and Church Development programs dealing with academic training, communication with community development, HIV/AIDS, Consultancy and managerial capacity.
She is a skilled development specialist with a bias towards gender equality, community development, project planning and management, monitoring and evaluation, HIV/AIDS counselling and training.
She is reliable with people communication, mental and problem solving skills for any assignment relating with women’s empowerment, capacity building, training, gender equality, community development, and project management.
