Marion is a Tutorial Fellow at Pan Africa Christian (PAC) University since May 2016. She has been a part-time Lecture at PAC University since 2013. She is currently pursuing a PHD in Marriage and Family Therapy at PAC University. She earned her Masters of Arts degree in Counselling Psyc hology from United States International University (USIU) – Africa in 2011, and her first degree in Bible and Theology from PAC University in 2003.
She began her pastoral career as a Youth Pastor at Pan Africa Community Church (2002-2005), while working at PAC University as a receptionist and later as an assistant Chaplain. She proceeded to serve as an associate Pastor at Mashariki Church (currently Mavuno- Mashariki) which was a Church Plant of Nairobi Chapel (2005 -2008). After leaving Mashariki Church, she served in various volunteer positions while pursing her Masters degree at, at Crisis Pregnancy – Kenya as a volunteer Counselor (2008 -2010), as a youth worker and Counselor at NPC (Valley Road) (2008 -2011).
Marion later rejoined Nairobi Chapel – Ngong Road (2012-2013) as a Pastor where she served in various departments: in the Youth Ministry, Leadership Department (Kinara – the internship Program), Human Resource and Counselling. Her last assignment was at Trinity Chapel Ruiru a Church Plant of Nairobi Chapel was a Pastor in charge of discipleship (Plug In – entry discipleship classes, E-groups – home fellowships, Premarital Counselling classes (PMCC), Marriage Enrichment groups and Counselling).
Her teaching skills and capacity in training has been developed overtime as her served in various assignments involving training, mentoring, curriculum and leadership development. Some of the organizations she has served in include Blossom out Psychological Consultant as a Life skills Trainer (210 -2012), Graduate Research Assistant at USIU (2009 -2011), Counselor at NPC – Valley Road (2008 – 2011), Asumbi Treatment Center (ATC – Ridways)in 2010 as a counselor.
Marion was significantly involved in Counseling during the critical season of the Post –election Violence in Kenya (2008) as a Phone Counselor with Celtel (Currently Airtel) and with the Msafara Wheels of Hope – an Interdenominational movement that visited with the Churches and counseled with the Internally Displaced Persons (IDS) in Mombasa, Nairobi, Naivasha, Nakuru, Eldoret and Kisumu.
As a member of the Nairobi Area Youth Networks, she has trained training fellow youth workers in Nairobi on matters –Counseling, like Teenage Suicide prevention (2010), and First Aid Counseling in Schools (2015). She has also trained Children Ministers in Nairobi under the invitation of CHILD NET on Trauma Counseling in Children (2013). While serving as a Spiritual Leader of the YWCA in Makadara (2008 -2009), Marion trained various groups connected with YWCA. For example National Training for Women of Peace in the YWCA Headquarters’ Nairobi, Trauma and Gender Based Violence in Makadara and Nakuru branches.
Marion loves equipping and facilitation healthy and meaningful living in people so they can fulfill God’s purpose and reach their full potential.
