Dr. Truphena Oduol
Dr. Truphena Oduol is the current Head of Leadership Department, where she also lectures.
She holds a PhD from the Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, a Master’s Degree from Flinders University, Australia, a Diploma in Human Resource Management from the Kenya Institute of Management (KIM) and a Bachelor of Education Degree from Kenyatta University.
Dr. Oduol has an extensive background in Leadership and Education, with a speciality in ethical leadership, value based leadership, governance ethics and integrity, and professionalism in the workplace, evidence based policy making, strategic leadership, and qualitative research.
Prior to joining the PAC University, Dr. Oduol served as a teacher and government official in the Education Departmentwhere she oversaw the conduct and practice of education in Kenya. She has published in the International Education Journal (IEJ) – http://iej.cjb.net and presented several papers in various international forums.
Dr. Oduol has contributed immensely to the development of current education policy in Kenya as a member of various Task forces and committees. She also worked closely with development partners such as World Bank, UNICEF, World Vision among others.
She is a member of Women Education Researchers of Kenya (WERK).
Her research interests are in the area of leadership, specifically in ethics and leadership, professionalism, evidence policy making, change and leadership.
